Responsibilities
- Manage pension plan enrollment, processing, and compliance for state employees
- Administer retirement benefits calculations, distributions, and adjustments
- Develop and implement pension policy documentation and procedures
- Collaborate with HR departments on retirement planning and employee education
- Conduct audits and ensure adherence to ERISA and Ohio Revised Code requirements
- Prepare quarterly reports for regulatory bodies and stakeholders
- Lead employee workshops on retirement planning and benefit options
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years' experience in pension administration or benefits management
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS regulations, and Ohio pension laws
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and pension administration software
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) designation preferred
- Experience in public sector or government accounting
