Responsibilities
- Research and Identify: Conduct in-depth research to identify federal, state, and private foundation funding opportunities aligned with our organizational goals.
- Proposal Development: Write clear, persuasive, and error-free grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and supplemental materials under tight deadlines.
- Grant Management: Maintain accurate records of all applications, deadlines, and funder relationships using our grant management database.
- Reporting: Prepare comprehensive progress reports and final reports for current grantees, ensuring compliance with funder requirements.
- Strategy: Collaborate with program staff to develop long-term fundraising strategies and annual budget projections.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in grant writing, fundraising, or non-profit development.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Public Administration, or a related field is required.
- Writing Skills: Exceptional written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to translate complex data into compelling stories.
- Research Skills: Proficiency in using online research tools (e.g., Foundation Directory Online) and familiarity with government grant portals.
- Organization: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strict attention to detail.
