Responsibilities
- Research & Proposal Development: Conduct comprehensive research on public and private funding sources to identify grant opportunities aligned with our organizational goals.
- Grant Writing: Draft compelling, error-free grant proposals, narratives, and budgets for federal, state, and private foundations.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with program staff and executive leadership to gather necessary data, success metrics, and compelling stories.
- Portfolio Management: Maintain a detailed calendar of deadlines and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of grant applications.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit timely progress reports and financial statements to maintain compliance and funding eligibility.
- Strategic Planning: Analyze funding trends and contribute to the long-term fundraising strategy of the organization.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of successful grant writing experience, preferably in the non-profit, education, or social services sectors.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Public Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with grant management software.
- Writing Portfolio: Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality, persuasive writing with a portfolio of successfully funded proposals.
- Research Skills: Excellent ability to analyze RFPs (Request for Proposals) and identify relevant funding opportunities.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into engaging narratives.
