Responsibilities
- Strategic Proposal Development: Design and write high-quality grant proposals, research plans, and budget narratives for federal, state, and private foundations.
- Funding Research: Conduct in-depth research to identify relevant grant opportunities aligned with our mission and track funding trends to optimize our strategy.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with program directors and finance teams to gather necessary data, ensuring accurate and compelling project descriptions.
- Grant Management: Oversee the submission process, track deadlines, and manage relationships with funders post-award.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit timely, detailed progress reports and final outcome evaluations to maintain donor trust and compliance.
- Portfolio Growth: Expand our portfolio of active grants and explore new revenue streams to support organizational sustainability.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in grant writing, specifically within the non-profit or social services sector.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Public Policy, or a related field is required.
- Writing Skills: Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading abilities with a proven track record of securing funding.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Blackbaud, Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Research Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, concise language.
- Interpersonal: Ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders and work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
