Responsibilities
- Research & Identification: Conduct in-depth research to identify and analyze grant opportunities from federal, state, and private foundations that align with our organizational mission.
- Proposal Development: Draft, edit, and submit high-quality grant proposals and applications, ensuring all requirements and deadlines are met with precision.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with program staff, finance teams, and executive leadership to gather necessary data, impact metrics, and budget information.
- Reporting: Prepare comprehensive progress reports and final deliverables for current funders to maintain positive relationships and ensure compliance.
- Portfolio Management: Maintain an organized system for tracking funding opportunities, submission schedules, and funder correspondence.
- Strategy: Contribute to the development of long-term fundraising strategies to diversify our revenue streams.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Public Administration, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional grant writing experience, preferably in the non-profit or social services sector.
- Writing Samples: A portfolio of successful grant proposals and writing samples must be provided upon request.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Blackbaud) is highly preferred.
- Research Skills: Demonstrated ability to perform thorough research and analyze funding guidelines effectively.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail and grammar.
