Responsibilities
- Process emergency calls and dispatch police units using CAD/RMS systems
- Operate multi-channel radio systems for seamless officer communication
- Maintain detailed incident logs and digital records
- Coordinate with EMS/Fire during multi-agency emergency responses
- Provide life-saving instructions to callers during critical incidents
- Utilize NCIC/LE databases for background checks and warrant verification
- Participate in continuous training for crisis intervention and de-escalation
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Valid Michigan driver's license
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Clear articulation and exceptional communication skills
- Ability to remain calm during high-pressure situations
- Basic computer proficiency with willingness to learn specialized software
- US citizenship or legal residency status
