Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor duties including grading, paving, and concrete pouring for municipal projects.
- Operate heavy machinery such as backhoes, rollers, and skid steers (certification preferred).
- Assist in traffic control and flagging duties to ensure strict job site safety compliance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment in accordance with OSHA standards.
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment from delivery trucks.
- Repair and maintain public infrastructure, including sidewalks, curbs, and drainage systems.
- Collaborate with crew leads and engineers to execute project specifications accurately.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record required.
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) repeatedly throughout the shift.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools, safety equipment, and OSHA regulations.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
- Willingness to work overtime, nights, weekends, and on-call as project demands.
