Responsibilities
- Assist with street maintenance including pothole repair, crack sealing, and striping.
- Operate heavy equipment and machinery such as jackhammers, rollers, and dump trucks under direct supervision.
- Perform manual labor tasks including digging, hauling materials, and landscaping maintenance.
- Ensure public safety by clearing debris, snow, and obstructions from roads and sidewalks.
- Follow strict safety protocols and OSHA guidelines to maintain a hazard-free work zone.
- Interact with the public professionally and assist with community beautification projects.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Valid California Driverβs License (Class C) and a clean driving record.
- Physical stamina required to lift heavy loads, stand for long periods, and work in all weather conditions.
- Willingness to undergo paid on-the-job training and obtain necessary certifications.
- Basic math skills and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
