As a Public Works Laborer, you will play a vital role in maintaining the city's streets, drainage systems, and public facilities. We are looking for individuals who are physically fit, safety-conscious, and ready to work.
Responsibilities
- Perform general manual labor including road maintenance, pothole repair, and street sweeping.
- Maintain and clean storm drains and catch basins to prevent flooding.
- Operate light and heavy construction equipment such as loaders, rollers, and dump trucks.
- Assist in traffic control operations and flagging duties.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment at job sites.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Arizona Class C Driver's License with a good driving record.
- Physical ability to perform strenuous labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various weather conditions.
- Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or public works is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures and equipment operation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
