Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy construction equipment, including backhoes, rollers, and dump trucks.
- Perform site preparation tasks, such as grading, trenching, and excavation for utility lines.
- Load, unload, and stack construction materials, tools, and debris in an organized manner.
- Assist in traffic control, flagging operations, and maintaining safe work zones.
- Perform general cleanup of job sites, ensuring compliance with environmental standards.
- Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to ensure a hazard-free environment.
- Communicate effectively with crew leads and engineers regarding project requirements.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record is required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety procedures is preferred.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions (heat, rain).
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and travel to different job sites within Miami-Dade County.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus but not mandatory.
