Job Overview
We are seeking hardworking professionals to support our civil engineering and construction teams. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving Irvine's public infrastructure, from road maintenance to utility installations.
Responsibilities
- Perform heavy manual labor including excavation, grading, and backfilling for public infrastructure projects.
- Operate and maintain light to medium heavy construction equipment such as bobcats, rollers, and compactors.
- Assist in the installation and repair of sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and drainage systems.
- Ensure all job sites comply with OSHA safety regulations and company quality standards.
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and supplies from delivery trucks.
- Perform daily site cleanup, including debris removal and equipment maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with foremen and other crew members to coordinate workflow.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Valid California Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand for long periods, and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Experience with public works, road construction, or general construction labor is highly preferred.
- Ability to read basic blueprints, maps, or site plans.
- Willingness to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
