Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery: Safely operate equipment such as dump trucks, front-end loaders, and jackhammers as directed by supervisors.
- Perform manual labor tasks: Assist with paving, concrete work, landscaping, and general site preparation.
- Street and Infrastructure Maintenance: Help maintain streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems to ensure public safety and compliance with city codes.
- Material Handling: Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment accurately and efficiently.
- Site Cleanup: Maintain a clean and organized job site, ensuring all safety hazards are removed promptly.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED: Basic education required for all positions.
- Valid Driver's License: Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform heavy physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Basic Math Skills: Ability to read measurements and perform basic calculations.
- Teamwork: Must be a reliable team player with strong communication skills.
- Willingness to Travel: Ability to travel to different job sites within the Jacksonville area as needed.
