Responsibilities
- Execute heavy construction projects including road maintenance, drainage systems, and public facility renovations
- Operate heavy machinery (backhoes, excavators, rollers) with precision and safety compliance
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, concrete pouring, and asphalt work
- Adhere to OSHA regulations and municipal safety protocols for all operations
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and preventive maintenance
- Collaborate with engineering teams for project implementation and problem-solving
- Document daily progress and maintain accurate work records
Qualifications
- 3+ years of public works or heavy construction experience
- Valid Class C California Driver's License with clean record
- Certification in heavy equipment operation (e.g., CAT, John Deere)
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of blueprint reading and survey principles
- Successful background check and drug screening
