Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, loaders, dump trucks) for infrastructure projects
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Conduct routine maintenance on public facilities and drainage systems
- Ensure strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Collaborate with engineering teams for precise project execution
- Document daily work progress and equipment usage reports
- Assist in emergency storm response and public utility repairs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Georgia Driver's License (Class B preferred)
- Minimum 2 years construction/labor experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic equipment operation skills (backhoe, forklift, etc.)
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities
