Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for road maintenance, drainage systems, and public facility upkeep
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, saws) under supervisor guidance
- Assist in asphalt/concrete work, grading, and erosion control projects
- Maintain job site safety protocols and proper equipment handling
- Support stormwater management initiatives and environmental compliance
- Participate in disaster response infrastructure recovery efforts
- Complete daily equipment inspections and maintenance reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Hawaii driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor in all weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred (training provided)
- Experience with hand/power tools and basic construction methods
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Must possess reliable transportation
- Basic knowledge of workplace safety standards
