Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and paving operations
- Operate heavy machinery (backhoes, dump trucks, loaders) with proper safety protocols
- Maintain city streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Assist in stormwater management and environmental compliance projects
- Participate in emergency response for weather-related incidents
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Washington State Driver's License (Class B or higher preferred)
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment operation
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and environmental stewardship
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
