Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the integrity, security, and performance of local government IT systems and networks.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Collaborate with agency stakeholders to design, implement, and upgrade technical solutions.
- Provide Tier 3 technical support and troubleshooting for internal government staff.
- Document technical processes, configurations, and system changes to ensure knowledge continuity.
- Participate in the planning and execution of IT infrastructure projects, including cloud migrations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support or technical analysis within the public sector or government contracting.
- Strong understanding of government compliance standards such as FISMA and NIST.
- Proficiency in network protocols, server management, and security frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
