Role Overview:
As a Government Systems Analyst, you will bridge the gap between complex technical requirements and government policy. Your work will directly impact service delivery and operational efficiency for state and federal agencies.
Responsibilities
- System Administration & Support: Manage and maintain critical government databases and internal systems, ensuring 99.9% uptime and data integrity.
- Compliance & Security: Adhere to strict government regulations (FISMA, NIST) and implement robust security protocols to protect sensitive citizen data.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for agency officials, translating technical jargon into actionable insights.
- Process Optimization: Analyze current workflows and propose modernized solutions to improve efficiency and reduce overhead.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, incident reports, and system architecture diagrams.
- Team Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with developers, project managers, and policy advisors to deliver successful project milestones.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field required.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in a government, defense, or highly regulated industry environment.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+ or CISSP preferred; Active Secret or Top Secret clearance is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python, and experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) within a government context.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to remain calm under pressure during system outages.
- Travel: Occasional travel to agency headquarters may be required.
