- Issue notices of violations and ensure corrective actions
- Maintain accurate project documentation and digital records
- Respond to citizen inquiries regarding construction activities
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years construction inspection or civil engineering experience
- Valid Michigan Driver's License with clean record
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification preferred
- Proficiency in inspection software (e.g., Cityworks, FieldDoc)
- Knowledge of Detroit's building codes and zoning ordinances
- Strong written communication and report-writing skills
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required
