Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the county’s internal network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for end-users across various government departments.
- Assist in the design, deployment, and security of software applications and databases.
- Monitor system performance and implement proactive maintenance protocols to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify technical requirements and develop innovative solutions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local IT security standards and policies.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or network engineering.
- Valid CompTIA A+ or Security+ certification is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and cloud technologies (AWS/Azure).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
