Responsibilities
- Application Development: Design, code, test, and implement high-quality software applications using Java, Python, or .NET frameworks.
- System Maintenance: Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize existing applications to ensure 99.9% uptime and performance.
- Database Management: Collaborate with data analysts to maintain and secure SQL databases and ensure data integrity.
- User Support: Provide technical support and training to county staff and end-users regarding application functionality.
- Security Compliance: Adhere to strict government security protocols and ensure all applications are compliant with federal and state standards.
- Agile Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver features on time.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in software development or systems analysis.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, JavaScript, and one or more major programming languages (Java, C#, Python).
- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a government background check.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical jargon for non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of troubleshooting complex technical issues.
