Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the City’s core IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and peripherals.
- Provide advanced technical support, troubleshooting, and training to government staff and citizens.
- Assist in the planning, development, and implementation of new software and hardware upgrades.
- Ensure data security, compliance with state and federal regulations, and perform regular system backups.
- Analyze system performance and propose optimizations to improve service delivery.
- Document technical procedures and maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in IT support or systems administration.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SQL, and virtualization technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to obtain a State of California Government Security Clearance.
- Valid California Driver’s License and current insurance are required.
