Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) across government facilities.
- Configure, install, patch, and maintain operating systems, server hardware, and peripheral equipment.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
- Implement and enforce security protocols to protect sensitive citizen data and government assets.
- Provide Tier 2 technical support and training to government staff regarding software applications and hardware usage.
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure the timely delivery of IT services and hardware upgrades.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support, network administration, or system engineering.
- Valid certification such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and active directory management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to work flexible hours during peak system maintenance periods if required.
