Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and security audits on federal networks and systems.
- Implement and maintain security controls in accordance with NIST, FISMA, and DoD directives.
- Analyze security logs and alerts to identify, mitigate, and report potential cyber threats.
- Develop and update incident response plans and security documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff members and stakeholders.
- Support the accreditation process for IT systems under the Continuous Diagnostic and Mitigation (CDM) program.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
- Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Professional certification such as CISSP, Security+, or CEH is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal information systems security or cybersecurity.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
