Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity incidents and alerts in real-time using SIEM tools.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on internal and external networks.
- Implement and enforce security policies and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP).
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and VPNs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to remediate security weaknesses and develop mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and present detailed security reports and metrics to senior leadership.
- Ensure adherence to disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certification: CompTIA Security+, CISSP, GSEC, or similar technical certification preferred.
- Active Top Secret (TS) clearance or the ability to obtain one within a reasonable timeframe.
- Experience with Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) compliance requirements.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
