Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity protocols to protect federal information systems in accordance with FISMA standards.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify and mitigate potential threats.
- Manage network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security for all internal and external users.
- Provide technical support, guidance, and training to federal staff regarding IT security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Document system configurations, incident reports, and ensure accurate inventory management of IT assets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues and improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent years of specialized experience).
- Clearance: Must possess an Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one within two years of employment.
- Certifications: Preference given for candidates holding CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC certifications.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in federal IT environments, network administration, or cybersecurity.
- Skills: Proficiency in network security tools, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and vulnerability scanners.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
