Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain complex federal network infrastructure and server environments.
- Implement and enforce robust cybersecurity protocols and compliance standards (NIST, FISMA).
- Perform system administration tasks including patch management, backup recovery, and hardware troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable IT solutions for government projects.
- Provide technical support and training to government personnel and internal staff.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to mitigate risks.
Qualifications
- Active Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance (or ability to obtain).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in IT systems administration, preferably within a government or defense contractor environment.
- Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP), firewalls, and VPNs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
