Job Overview:
The IT Systems Administrator will be responsible for the deployment, maintenance, and support of our server infrastructure, virtualization platforms, and network operations. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and security of county systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and group policies.
- Implement and monitor security measures to protect county data and infrastructure from cyber threats.
- Perform system upgrades, patches, and troubleshooting to ensure high availability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy IT solutions that meet business needs.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and technical specifications.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users regarding hardware and software issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in systems administration or a related technical role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, Active Directory, and Azure.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and backup solutions (Veeam, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
