Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain scalable network infrastructure across multiple state facilities.
- Monitor network performance, analyze traffic patterns, and troubleshoot complex connectivity issues in real-time.
- Configure and manage enterprise-grade firewalls, routers, and switches to ensure maximum security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to upgrade legacy systems and integrate new technologies.
- Conduct regular audits and vulnerability assessments to maintain compliance with state and federal standards.
- Provide technical support and training to internal staff regarding network protocols and best practices.
Qualifications
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent professional certification preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in network administration or engineering.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and VLAN management.
- Experience with network monitoring tools and incident response procedures.
- Ability to obtain a valid Texas Driver's License and pass a background check.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
