Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of complex IT projects, from initiation to deployment, ensuring alignment with state strategic goals.
- Apply Agile and Waterfall methodologies to manage project scope, schedule, and budget effectively.
- Facilitate regular stakeholder meetings, ensuring clear communication of project status, risks, and deliverables.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, and vendors to resolve technical and process issues.
- Ensure all projects comply with state procurement regulations, security standards, and accessibility requirements.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
- Manage resource allocation and vendor relationships to maximize efficiency and value.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Public Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or CAPM certification is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, with at least 2 years in the public sector or large enterprise environment.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and modern technology stacks.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive consensus among diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
