Role Overview:
As the IT Project Manager, you will oversee the full lifecycle of software development and infrastructure modernization projects. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage stakeholder expectations, and ensure rigorous compliance with federal regulations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full project lifecycle (Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring, and Closure) for federal IT programs.
- Ensure strict adherence to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and agency-specific compliance standards.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
- Facilitate regular stand-ups, sprint reviews, and stakeholder briefings to ensure alignment.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, dependencies, and technical roadblocks proactively.
- Mentor junior project managers and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the Agile team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain one) is required.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or PgMP certification.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience managing complex IT projects in a government contracting or federal environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and Waterfall processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to brief senior leadership.
