Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of government IT projects, from initiation to closure, ensuring alignment with federal and state standards.
- Manage budgets, timelines, and resources for multiple concurrent projects, mitigating risks and resolving technical challenges.
- Facilitate stakeholder communication, including city officials and department heads, to ensure transparency and alignment on project goals.
- Ensure strict compliance with government regulations (e.g., FedRAMP, FISMA) and internal security protocols.
- Conduct regular project status reviews and provide detailed reporting to senior management.
- Collaborate with vendors and third-party contractors to manage service level agreements and deliverables.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Public Administration, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, preferably within the government or public sector.
- PMP, CAPM, or equivalent project management certification is highly desired.
- Strong knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project management methodologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical jargon for non-technical stakeholders.
- Must be a resident of Mesa, AZ, or willing to relocate immediately.
