Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain network security protocols across VA systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Develop incident response plans and lead security breach remediation
- Manage identity and access control systems for 5,000+ users
- Ensure compliance with FISMA, NIST, and DoD security standards
- Train staff on cybersecurity best practices
- Collaborate with federal partners on security initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in IT security or network administration
- Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Experience with SIEM tools and firewalls
- Federal background investigation eligibility
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux systems
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance
