Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain network security systems including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on DoD networks
- Implement and monitor zero-trust security architecture frameworks
- Develop incident response plans and lead cybersecurity breach mitigation
- Ensure compliance with NIST SP 800-53 and FISMA standards
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams on threat intelligence sharing
- Maintain security documentation and audit trails
Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance (required)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in federal IT security roles
- CompTIA Security+ CE certification (or equivalent)
- Expertise in SIEM tools (Splunk, ArcSight) and network monitoring
- Familiarity with DISA STIGs and security hardening procedures
- Experience with cloud security (AWS GovCloud, Azure Gov) and container security
- Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance post-hire
