Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain NIST-compliant security controls for VA infrastructure
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal networks
- Manage SIEM tools and respond to security incidents within 15-minute SLA
- Develop security awareness training programs for 500+ federal employees
- Coordinate with CISA and DHS on threat intelligence sharing
- Lead FISMA compliance audits and remediation efforts
- Design zero-trust architecture solutions for hybrid cloud environments
Qualifications
- Active CISSP or Security+ CE certification required
- 5+ years of federal IT security experience with FISMA compliance
- Expertise in AWS/Azure security frameworks and FedRAMP requirements
- TS/SCI clearance with current background investigation
- Experience with Splunk, CrowdStrike, and Microsoft Sentinel
- Ability to obtain and maintain Position Designated Position (PDP) status
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
