Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize federal IT infrastructure including cloud systems, networks, and security protocols
- Develop and implement cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive veteran data
- Provide technical support and training to VA staff across multiple locations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on digital transformation initiatives
- Ensure compliance with federal IT regulations and FISMA standards
- Lead system upgrades and migration projects with zero-downtime requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in federal IT systems administration
- Active Security+ CE certification or equivalent DoD-approved credential
- Proficiency in AWS/Azure cloud platforms and federal compliance frameworks
- Strong background in network security and incident response protocols
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
