Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level applications using Java, Python, and cloud technologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement secure, scalable tax processing systems
- Lead database optimization and performance tuning for high-volume transactional platforms
- Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with federal security standards (NIST, FISMA)
- Document technical specifications and create user training materials
- Troubleshoot complex system issues and implement robust solutions
- Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend system enhancements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of professional software development experience with Java/Python
- Expertise in relational databases (SQL, Oracle) and RESTful API design
- Active federal security clearance or ability to obtain one
- Familiarity with federal IT security frameworks and compliance requirements
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in agile environments
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass background investigation
- Professional certifications (AWS, CISSP, or CompTIA Security+) preferred
