Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity protocols for federal networks and systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure
- Develop incident response plans and lead cybersecurity drills
- Collaborate with federal agencies on threat intelligence sharing
- Ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and other federal security standards
- Train personnel on cybersecurity best practices and emerging threats
- Monitor security systems and respond to alerts in real-time
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with federal systems
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CompTIA Security+ certification
- Proficiency in network security tools (Splunk, Wireshark, Nessus)
- Familiarity with federal IT security frameworks (NIST SP 800-53, FISMA)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and encryption technologies
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
