Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and systems for potential security breaches and malicious activity.
- Implement and manage security protocols in accordance with NIST and FISMA frameworks.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses.
- Respond to and mitigate cybersecurity incidents in real-time.
- Configure and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and SIEM tools.
- Provide technical support and guidance to federal stakeholders on security best practices.
Qualifications
- Active Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship required).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certification such as CISSP, Security+, or GSEC.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in federal cybersecurity or IT support.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, and Active Directory.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable background investigation.
