Responsibilities
- Manage Federal Network Infrastructure: Oversee the maintenance, configuration, and troubleshooting of local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) to ensure seamless communication.
- Implement Security Protocols: Enforce federal cybersecurity standards and compliance measures (e.g., FISMA, NIST) to protect sensitive government data.
- Provide Technical Support: Offer advanced technical assistance to federal staff, resolving hardware and software issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
- System Administration: Install, configure, and update operating systems and applications, ensuring all software is current and secure.
- Conduct Audits: Perform routine system audits and vulnerability assessments to identify potential risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with cross-functional teams and federal agencies to define technical requirements and deliver solutions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field required; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Clearance: Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance (or the ability to obtain one) is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in federal IT environments or comparable technical support roles.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or equivalent certifications are highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
