Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of the local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN).
- Implement and enforce robust cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive federal information and systems.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for the procurement, installation, and troubleshooting of hardware and software.
- Provide advanced technical support and guidance to agency staff regarding IT systems and applications.
- Conduct regular system audits and assessments to ensure compliance with Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) standards.
- Manage project lifecycles for IT infrastructure upgrades and system migrations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- 4 years of progressively responsible experience in IT systems administration, network engineering, or a related field.
- Active Secret Security Clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, and cloud computing platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Familiarity with ITIL framework and best practices for IT service management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
