Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the integrity, security, and availability of server infrastructure and networks supporting government clients.
- Configure and troubleshoot complex IT systems, ensuring 99.9% uptime and compliance with federal standards.
- Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to protect sensitive government data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable IT solutions.
- Document system configurations, protocols, and standard operating procedures for knowledge transfer.
- Provide technical support and mentorship to junior IT staff and system operators.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in system administration or IT support within the public sector or federal environment.
- U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance are mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.
- Familiarity with federal compliance standards such as FISMA and NIST.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
