Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of network servers and systems, ensuring 99.9% uptime for critical government services.
- Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive citizen data and infrastructure.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance assessments to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy scalable IT solutions aligned with city strategic goals.
- Manage software licenses and hardware inventory, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or CISSP are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or cybersecurity within a public sector or large enterprise environment.
- Deep understanding of FISMA compliance and federal information security standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Valid Driver’s License and willingness to travel to various city facilities when necessary.
