Job Summary:
The IT Specialist is responsible for the planning, implementing, and administering of computer hardware, software, and network systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background with a commitment to excellence and public service.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs).
- Perform system administration duties including server maintenance, patch management, and backups.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end-users across various departments.
- Monitor system performance and ensure data security and compliance with government standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify technical needs and propose innovative solutions.
- Conduct regular system audits and security assessments to mitigate risks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or network engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and cloud technologies (Azure/AWS).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to obtain a government security clearance (background check required).
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
