We are currently seeking a highly skilled IT Specialist to support the Oklahoma Department of Central Services. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliability of our internal computer systems and networks. You will work directly with various state departments to ensure their technology needs are met efficiently and securely.
What You Will Do:
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software for state employees.
- Manage local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN).
- Monitor system performance and perform regular backups.
- Ensure strict adherence to state cybersecurity protocols and compliance standards.
- Provide Tier 2 technical support and resolve complex IT issues.
- Collaborate with vendors to maintain and upgrade server infrastructure.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent military/technical experience).
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support or system administration.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to pass a background check.
- Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Server environments and Active Directory.
Responsibilities

- Ensure compliance with state security protocols and data privacy laws.
- Provide technical support to internal government agencies.
- Perform regular system maintenance and software updates.
- Document technical processes and user procedures.

- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or Security+ preferred.
- Valid Oklahoma driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Proven experience in government or large-scale enterprise environments.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
