Responsibilities
- Manage and troubleshoot local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and other data communications systems.
- Provide technical support and maintenance for hardware and software solutions across all city departments.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive government data.
- Conduct system audits to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with vendors to resolve complex technical issues and upgrade systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent military/professional experience).
- Proven experience in network administration and system support.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Cisco CCNA are highly preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evening or weekend shifts during system maintenance.
