Responsibilities
- Cybersecurity Management: Implement and monitor federal security protocols to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with OMB and NIST standards.
- Network Administration: Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain local and wide-area networks to ensure seamless connectivity for agency operations.
- System Development: Develop and maintain software applications and databases using modern programming languages and frameworks.
- Ticket Management: Respond to and resolve IT service requests and incidents in a timely manner using the IT Service Desk ticketing system.
- Technical Documentation: Create and update technical manuals, standard operating procedures, and system architecture diagrams.
- Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships with third-party IT vendors and contractors to ensure service level agreements are met.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Experience: At least three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in IT systems administration, software development, or network engineering.
- Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Federal Background Investigation (e.g., Secret Clearance).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, SQL, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Security Certification: Preferred: CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent certifications.
