Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network infrastructure across state facilities.
- Manage and maintain server environments, ensuring high availability and security compliance.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems and applications for government staff.
- Monitor system performance and perform regular maintenance to prevent downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new technology solutions and upgrades.
- Enforce cybersecurity protocols and conduct regular system audits.
- Document technical procedures and provide user training as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid Tennessee Driver’s License may be required for site visits.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in systems administration or IT support.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and TCP/IP networking.
- Experience with network security protocols and disaster recovery planning.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
