Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure, high-performance network infrastructure across federal facilities.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot complex issues to ensure 99.9% uptime for critical systems.
- Configure and manage firewalls, routers, and switches using industry-standard protocols (Cisco, Juniper).
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to comply with federal compliance standards (FISMA).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy software updates and system patches.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior staff and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in network administration and IT support.
- Experience with federal IT security frameworks and compliance requirements.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.
- Certifications such as CCNA, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
