Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of server hardware and virtualization environments.
- Security Compliance: Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive state data and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- System Administration: Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and backup systems to ensure seamless network operations.
- Remote Support: Provide Level 3 technical support and guidance to internal government staff and remote teams.
- Project Leadership: Lead initiatives for system upgrades and migration projects, acting as a technical mentor for junior staff.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in Systems Administration within a corporate or government environment.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or equivalent IT certifications are required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, PowerShell, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical jargon for non-technical stakeholders.
